Having worked within provider, payer, and research organizations, Tanner brings a holistic approach to his work at ECG, understanding that collaboration is key to improving patient care. Tanner’s strength lies in his ability to use data analysis to tell stories and implement change. While Tanner excels at generating data-driven solutions, what clients value most are his enthusiasm, team-player attitude, and passion for creating a better healthcare ecosystem, which he brings to bear on every engagement.
Before joining ECG, Tanner worked as a research assistant at the University of Minnesota School of Public Health. During this time, he aided Minnesota in its COVID‑19 emergency response by analyzing over 150,000 points of occupational data for confirmed COVID‑19 cases. Tanner’s analytics were critical in helping state healthcare leaders better understand the relationship between occupational environment and infection and generating state-wide resource allocation recommendations. Prior to that, Tanner was an administrative resident at Mercyhealth, where he worked to advance its population health efforts. In this role, he collaborated with clinical and quality leadership, nursing staff, and various technology vendors to implement a pilot patient outreach campaign that used automated technology to achieve more timely care for patients with chronic conditions.
