Kim is passionate about performance improvement and helping clients achieve excellence in the provision of care. She is well versed in working with administrators, physicians, and various internal and external stakeholders to solve complex problems and execute large, challenging projects. One of her greatest strengths is pulling together teams, building consensus, and leading the implementation of new and improved care delivery processes, particularly under alternative and bundled payment models.
Over the past 20 years, Kim has held numerous leadership roles in nearly every healthcare setting, including acute care, home care and hospice, skilled nursing, rehabilitation, and ambulatory care. Before joining ECG, she was the executive director of the musculoskeletal and neuroscience service lines at Mission Health, where she oversaw strategy development and operations for multiple centers of excellence across a seven-hospital regional system. Kim implemented standardized, evidence-based care delivery models that resulted in a significant decrease (from 43% to 19%) in skilled nursing utilization for the elective total joint population, resulting in a $1.2 million reconciliation payment under the Comprehensive Care for Joint Replacement bundle program. She also launched a new ortho-spine walk-in clinic, developed a preferred provider network for post-acute services, and expanded telestroke services into five outlying emergency departments.
