With seven years of experience in both the clinical and nonclinical healthcare space, Jacob has extensive involvement with EHR implementation, support, and optimization that provides him with a solid grasp of the entire patient cycle, from registration to clinical care to patient accounting. During his career, Jacob has worked with multiple large corporate and academic health systems, along with many small health systems and rural hospitals across the country, appreciating the differences and intricacies in all care environments. He thrives in discussions with internal stakeholders to identify and propose enhancements to workflow efficiencies, device integration, IT processes, and client relationship strategies.
At ECG, Jacob assists with IT transformation assessments and EHR implementation projects, including working with two large academic medical systems, one of the largest nonprofit health systems in the country, and a public service consulting division of an academic medical school. Throughout each project, Jacob carries his functional IT and EHR knowledge into discussions about IT organizational changes, technology improvements, and interoperability and integration imperatives. Prior to joining ECG, Jacob was a senior integrated technologies consultant for Cerner. While there, he operated as a workflow lead within enterprise document management, supporting document management for patient accounting, health information management, patient access, workqueue management, and automated document interfaces. Additionally, Jacob worked extensively with data migration, device integration, server architecture, vendor integration, and IT security, controls, and processes.
